Good Afternoon to all: We have been closely monitoring our habitual tardiness and truancy with students. As a result, we did close campus for a few weeks. Last week, Seniors had the opportunity to leave campus for lunch with the understanding that they would need to be in good standing to be allowed off this week. Our data determined that there are few Seniors in good standing. They continue to be tardy and have some unexcused absences. Please note that those found to NOT be in good standing will have a closed campus this week and will have this week to remedy this issue by fixing their tardiness so they can be allowed off next week. We will allow juniors off campus for lunch tomorrow. Their ability to leave the rest of the week will depend on students reporting to class on time the rest of the week. Freshman- and - Sophomore students in good standing will receive an incentive movie at the end of the month as part of our Positive Behavior Intervention Rewards. Regular school attendance is crucial for academic success as it allows students to engage in learning and classroom activities fully. Consistency is critical to developing responsibility skills that are essential for future success. It's Always A Great Day to Be A Don! Reminder....the first bell rings at 7:55. Don't be late.

Attention seniors from WLVHS and FP starting this week you can go off-campus during lunchtime. However, to be eligible for this privilege the following week, seniors must maintain good attendance and arrive on time for all their classes throughout the week with no unexcused absences or tardies. If they meet this requirement, they will receive a pass to leave the campus for lunch the following week. If they fail to meet this requirement, they will not be allowed to leave the campus during lunchtime and must have lunch on campus. This will be determined on a week to week basis. We will soon be extending this privilege to juniors as well. Sophomores and Freshman students will have a different incentive program, and administrators will meet with them to discuss it." Consistency is critical to developing responsibility skills that are essential for future success. It's Always A Great Day to Be A Don! Reminder....the first bell rings at 7:55. Don't be late

Good Morning Dons, We hope you are having a wonderful Saturday morning. In preparing for the week ahead we have made an executive decision to keep a closed campus for the upcoming week due to ongoing concerns regarding tardiness and unexcused absences. This decision has been made to address the importance of punctuality and being present at school to create a more productive learning environment. Our aim is to encourage students to arrive on time for their first period through seventh period classes and show a decrease in absences. This initiative is intended to help instill the value of punctuality and its positive impact on personal growth and academic success. Should students demonstrate a significant improvement this week, we will consider lifting this hold and allowing our juniors and seniors off campus for lunch. We understand changing habits of being late because you are stopping for a coffee or other things are habits that take time. We are here to support you along the way and proactively plan for better time management. If you are absent for reasons out of your control, please visit with us. Wishing you all a safe and wonderful weekend. Be You..Be True..Be Here..Belong...It's ALWAYS a great day to be a DON. We care!
