West Las Vegas Middle School presents Free Family Movie Night Thursday, October 16th at 6:30 p.m. at the WLV Football Field. Concession will open at 6:00 p.m. Bring your own blankets and lawn chairs.

Hello,

Off-season wrestling workouts for WLVMS students in 6th through 8th grade begin today from 3:30 to 5:30.

Dear Families,

At West Las Vegas Schools, we know that every day of school counts toward your child's success. To help us stay closely connected with you regarding your student's attendance, we are excited to launch a new tool called Edia Attendance beginning October 5, 2026.

What is Edia?

Edia is an automated, text-based system that makes it easier for you to track and report your child’s absences.

• Instant Updates: If your student is marked absent and we haven't heard from you, you will receive a text message within minutes.

• No Apps to Download: You can reply directly to the text message like a normal conversation.

• Your Language, Your Choice: The system automatically translates messages into your preferred language. You can text back in your native language, and the system will translate it for our school staff.

How to Use It
If you receive an absence notification text next week, simply reply to the text with the reason for the absence (e.g., "James has a doctor's appointment" or "Elena is sick"). You then upload photos of doctors' notes directly via the text chat. Please ensure your information is up to date in PowerSchool!!

Our goal is to ensure your child is safe, supported, and present for learning. Thank you for your continued partnership!
